WHAT THIS MEANS: the market is heating up fast and competition is increasing. On the refinance side, I took 6 applications. 4 of those were cash-out refinances. WHAT THIS MEANS: many homeowners are feeling pressure from high-interest debt and are using their equity to reduce monthly obligations, even if it means taking a higher mortgage rate. Mortgage rates are also down week over week. We’re currently seeing around 6.125% for the average 30-year fixed.
