Everything You Need To Know About USDA-Rural Home Loans (Demo)

Welcome to Snohomish County’s USDA Home Loan Research Center. I have put together valuable information and tools to help you gather all of the information that you need to make the most informed decision when shopping for a mortgage. Sometimes the USDA Home Loan Program is not the best option for a Zero Down Purchase. Another program that is very similar and allows first time home buyers to buy with Zero Down is the Washington State House Key State Bond Program.

Sometimes good credit and a down payment are not enough to qualify for a home loan at a commercial lending institution, such as a bank, savings and loan or with a mortgage broker. That is why the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development has provided a loan program that allows more rural families and individuals to be eligible to become homeowners with the help of a USDA guaranteed home loan. The USDA loan program allows:
– 620 min credit score
– Up to 6% seller contributions
– No PMI (private mortgage insurance)
– Zero Down

If the home you are wanting to purchase for Zero Down is NOT eligible for USDA financing, consider looking into the House Key State Bond First Time Homebuyer Program with Dan Keller. A 5-hour homebuyer education course sponsored by House Key is required to receive a State Bond that is used for your down payment.
